On the internet shopping front, LL Bean has croc-like shoes (slides) for only $14.95! So I ordered some, bright purple. I figure for 15 bucks why not?!

Potential "Quiet" Baby Issue...
...Online shopping! First of all, I want to make it very clear that I AM NOT COMPLAINING but I see a problem looming on the horizon with free time at home and an internet connection and a credit card all converging. There are just too many cute shoes for me, pajamas for Ethan, onesies for Dylan...what is a girl to do?? Please help!

The Family Got Bigger
Dylan is almost one week old now and it's like he's always been part of the family. Ethan may not agree, but he has actually been really good with the baby...he calls him "baba" and likes to give him lots of kisses and only the occasional smashing.

Here is a picture of the whole family. Ethan suddenly looks so enormous! It's like he grew up into a little man overnight. His diapers are gigantic and so is his head!
So far, Dylan has been the dream baby so hopefully he keeps it up. He never cries, just a few meows when he's hungry, which is about every 3 hours. He sleeps most of the time. I know this will all change in a couple of weeks so I am counting my blessings. It's funny how we spent so much time wondering what he was going to look like and he looks just like he's supposed to! Plenty of hair, big brown eyes, and I think he might have Naveen's nose but we'll have to wait and see on that one.

Dylan is here!
And right on time...what a good boy!
Everything went so smoothly, we left for the hospital at 3am and he was born at 9:29. He's just a little guy, 6lb 12 oz and I don't think he was any fat on him yet! He's my cute boy - and wow does he make Ethan look HUGE! Ethan has been handling everything like a great big brother, the outlook is good.
Well it's midnight and I have to be up in 3 hours to feed the big guy so I will have to make this a brief update. More news later!

Wet and Wild!
Well, today was my official due date, and while I do have a few hours left, I kinda don't think it's happening today. We'll see what the doctor has to say. Looks like Dylan is not in any more of a hurry than Ethan was.
I also met Rachel at a cute baby boutique where I bought a sling. I am not sure about the whole "wear your baby" concept but I think I will need to be hands free this time around a little more frequently. Then we took the boys over to Oregano's. Ethan would not sit still. He has been a crazy boy all day. In fact, I can still hear him singing in the bedroom. No rice krispy treats tomorrow! AND it turns out he loves the pizza cookie there (who doesn't?) so that means sharing - UGH! I should just use his new favorite word - MINE and tell him to get his own.

Another Saturday Night
So, busy Saturday for us! We started off by finally getting a crib mattress, now we just need to get the crib set up. Then I went to get pedicures and lunch with Lisa and a friend of hers from work. Her friend is 43 and newly pregnant - you go girl! and was a lot of fun. She is new to all this pregnancy worry so it was nice to talk to her and make it seem like I know something.
Then we walked up to the park with Ethan. He is never so happy as when he is outside. We got home and he played outside in the water. Why bother with toys? He was having so much fun with the water spigot and a plastic cup!
Naveen and I watched "Shaun of the Dead" after E went to bed - it is a British spoof on "Dawn of the Dead" and it was sooo funny! Highly recommended if you like zombie comedies.
But why is it that we have a beautiful, cool Spring and the first week I am off work the temperature shoots to 90 degrees? Aah the irony, finally time to spend outside and it's too dern hot!

Mall Time
It's so funny how different Chandler Mall is from Scottsdale Fashion Square. In Chandler, I swear every other person is pushing a stroller. At Fashion Square, it's like a maze of ramps and elevators just to get from one store to another! But I'm not complaining, I'm still partial to my digs.
We met Rachel and Jeremiah at the mall and had a fun time drinking Starbucks and then Johnny Rockets chocolate shakes. Oh and we shopped, too. A little. Ethan was being a little dare-devil in his stroller, standing up at every opportunity. I'm not sure what got into him, trying to impress JJ I think. JJ didn't seem too impressed.
He also was doing a headbanging head shaking dance which prompted a construction type worker to proclaim "Metal Forever, huh?!". All in all a positive mall experience.

Update!
No progress!!! What?! I know, I was so sure she would tell me I was 3+ and get ready to go to the hospital. Now she is saying, well we can talk about you getting induced in week 41! It would be sweet though for Dylan's birthday to be March 20 since that is my father's birthday.
I was so sure, too. I had a couple contractions this morning but since I got up nothing and I feel great. I guess that is the good news...

First Day Off
First day..off? OK it did pretty much feel like a day off. Ethan was at "school" for a good chunk of the day so I went to Target (cordless vacuum) and watched Babel. That is one intense flick! I think tomorrow I might watch The Devil Wears Prada to lighten the mood.
What else should I do tomorrow? I might go to the mall, or maybe do some cleaning? Hmm...mall or clean? That is a tough one!
I guess I should pack my hospital bag, or at least make a list of what I'll need. Poor Dylan doesn't have a baby book yet - maybe I should do that tomorrow!

And Pregnancy Leave Officially Starts Today!
Today is my last day at work before Dylan arrives - yahoo! But what the heck am I going to do with myself? I know - watch movies! I haven't actually watched a full length movie in I don't know how long. And I haven't seen almost everything nominated for an Oscar. And of course spend extra time with my Ethan babsy. He is in for a major life change and he has no clue, poor little guy.
